Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible of receiving all materials obtained from suppliers by ensuring they are of the correct quantity, quality, and specifications as per Purchase Orders (PO). They will also be accountable for the storage and dispatch of all materials at Dar es Salaam store to the Estate.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspects, validates, and authorizes all deliveries as per specifications on Purchase Order (PO), creating a financial obligation for the operation.
- In the event of receiving goods based on Group contracts, the onus resides on the local receiving team to ensure accuracy of goods receipted (Automated process for contract buying means that this is the first point of human intervention)
- Investigate and resolve receiving queries with Purchasing and/or accounts team. This includes investigation of shortages, incorrect or damaged goods supplied which either occurred in transit, dispatch or from the supplier.
- Engage with suppliers and ISJ/Purchasing team to complete documentation and arrange return of incorrectly supplied, damaged or reject goods to suppliers (this includes verification of supplier & Illovo order details)
- Ensure that all documents relating to the receiving operation are promptly and correctly archived for easy retrieval/reference.
- Supervise and direct the offloading of goods at the receiving bay to ensure that goods supplied are in the correct quantity and are in accordance with quality specifications as per the procedure (i.e. QCP etc.)
- Manage bulk items (fertilizer, cement, lime etc.) received by ensuring that they are received via the weighbridge and appropriate verifying of quantity (number of bags) and weight is completed.
- Capture all delivery notes into the ERP system the same day goods are delivered and print reports (GRN) for various stakeholders.
- Dispatch stock orders to the relevant stores with copies of the GRN attached to the delivery note for records.
- Report all shortages and damages that cannot be resolved to the Inventory Operations Controllers in writing and develop plan for appropriate resolution.
- Ensure query resolution is complete by ISJ within 30 days of claims to prevent financial implications later in the procurement cycle.
- Where applicable, assign labour to accompany bulk delivery trucks (e.g. fertilizer and lime) to remote stores (e.g. Estate Agriculture Area Stores) to monitor and verify the offloading for control purposes.
- Responsible for engaging and supervision of temporary labour required to support offloading and loading activities at the Dar es Salaam warehouse.
- Responsible for SHERQ performance of the Dar es Salaam warehouse eliminating risks and ensuring adherence to standards.
- Accountable for the stock held in transit at the Dar Es Salaam warehouse including safe and appropriate storage and handling.
- Promote and adhere to Illovo’s procedures, policies, and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC)
- Ensure compliance to the FCFQ is achieved through rigorous engagement with group and internal audit (this includes maintaining relevance to current systems, policies & procedures)
- Maintain housekeeping of designated area (5S) in accordance with SHERQ and ISO standards
- Ensure goods that are to leave the operations are issued out with the appropriate documentation (i.e. gate pass)
- Ensure that special stock is always kept under controlled security.
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Stores Management, Procurement and Supplies / Logistics Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in general stores.
- Registration by Professional Board (PSPTB) is an added advantage.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of inventory technology systems.
- Knowledge of engineering equipment and spares is an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills with experience engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for Maintenance and repair of all Boiler machines.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Boiler maintenance during steam stops and off crops.
- Operate the boiler as per set standards and procedure.
- Monitoring and controlling all boiler performance parameters.
- Controlling steam pressure and steam flow.
- Ensure Safety of people and boiler.
- Ensure the working place is clean and free from any hazards.
- Ensure that all problems are reported immediately to the relevant authorities.

- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a Factory environment.
- Honest, Obedient, ready to work long hours under pressure and attentive to details.

- Ensure that all operations are carried out as per ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System at Distillery to achieve the quality standards.
- Conducts all designated activities in line with providing an efficient service to the Production, Stores and SHEQ departments.
- Participates in internal auditing exercises on various departments, ensuring that the processes are compliant with the relevant standard operating procedures.
- Uphold the company’s safety, health, environmental and quality policies and procedures and to ensure compliance of all applicable legislation.
- If any situation that is non-conforming to required standards, unsafe or unhealthy or anything that threatens to impact on the environment comes to your attention, report this to manager using the existing incident report system.
- Performs instrumental and chemical analysis on raw materials, in-process and final products and all relevant utilities.
- Perform inspections, as may be required, on final product that is being dispatched.
- Prepares and issues quality control reports and communicates this to the wider distillery team.
- Captures analytical data on the laboratory information databases and maintain such databases in a manner to facilitate the easy auditing thereof.
- Calibration of all analytical instruments in the laboratory.
- Prepare reference standards used for analysis.
- Assist in the validation of laboratory equipment and test procedures.
- Diploma in Science and Lab Technology, Diploma in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Technology, or another related field.
