Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise all farming activities, timing and quality standards related to cane production.
- Execute and supervise farm resource and activity plans.
- Supervise farm activities and implement continuous improvement measures to ensure adherence to activity standards.
- Monitor correct use of materials and other farm inputs.
- Carryout inspections and activity assessments and submit reports to management.
- Maintain discipline within the team and report any identified risks to management.

- Monitoring and execution of farm activities by service provides to ensure compliance with standards.
- Certificate in Agriculture /SASRI Senior Sugar Cane Certificate or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience in sugar cane agriculture
- Experience with leading teams and resource allocation.
- Knowledge in basic computer software, Computer Literate with excellent command of MS Office
- Good leadership and communication skills

We are looking for a Surveyor (Agriculture) who will Optimise agriculture performance by implementing and managing planned and responsive infrastructure development and maintenance, Adopt and embed best practices as guided by Group CoE’s and Agricultural Optimization teams and Develop and manage infrastructure maintenance budget.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain services related to the surveying, aspect of roads and drainage, mechanised field activities including Levelling, and/or contracted services
- Manage operational standards to maximise equipment and activity efficiencies
- Ensure the design of field layouts, roads, dams, drains, bridges, etc. on the estate recognized standards.
- Ensure that all surveys and equipment including hardware and software, and map system are maintained
- Identify areas where performance and quality management can be improved and manage the implementation of systems and processes to implement improvements
- Ensure continuous improvement by implementing functional best practices and conducting physical inspections
- Manage performance of surveying team(s)
- Conduct on the job training and instruction, and identify new training needs where appropriate

- Identify and monitor KPIs and balanced scorecards, track performance and flag any issues

Job Purpose
The success candidate will actively manage and drive effective local procurement and continuous optimization to support the strategy of increased contract buying.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day buying / related planning using new system
- Manage and execute buying process for off-contract transactions
- Respond to and implement findings from analytical data and reports to drive efficiencies and identify opportunities for optimization of contract buying or improved inventory management
- Understand and know the MID catalogue to ensure compliance to this as far as possible
- Ensure buying process is procedurally compliant and documentation for audit and SHERQ purposes are available
- Lead and manage supplier performance management for non-contracted vendors (collaboration between contract management, buyers and expeditors)
- Build a network/database of reliable suppliers based on specific business needs.
- Communicate with line managers and suppliers to ensure Procurement expectations are being met
- Work with line managers to gather performance data to manage the quality of service with established vendors
- Provide support and coaching to end-users where required
Job Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics Management or equivalent

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Contract development and execution including management of 3rd parties.
- Own the project(s) business case and ensure that the associated financial integrity is robust and aligned with the business strategic plan.
- Explore that all possible options for the project are rigorously analyzed, such that the alternatives are well understood.
- Select and appoint appropriate project teams including 3rd parties and lead, develop and motivate those teams for the lifecycle of the project.
- Develop and manage a robust project schedule based on the stage-gate process to facilitate effective financial and commercial project management which creates and levers business value.
- Manage the adherence to corporate project governance procedures and processes to ensure that the appropriate management controls are in place and that projects are delivered according to plan.
- Ensure that an appropriate risk management process is applied to ensure that foreseeable significant risks are identified and managed.
- Implementation of an appropriate quality management system to ensure that all project outputs meet the key stakeholder requirements.
- Provide health and safety (H&S) leadership for the project team(s) and assume responsibility for all aspects of H&S associated with the project(s).

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or any other relevant degree from a recognized institution
