The successful candidate will be responsible for Maintenance of Machines and machine parts during off crop and crushing season.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carries out maintenance and repairs of machines during crushing season, breakdown and off crop.
- Attend all breakdowns of machines and machine parts during crushing season.
- Monitor the performance of the machines.
- Checks and rectify all running machines faults.
- Ensures that all operations are carried out as per the ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Management System at Kilombero Sugar to achieve the quality standards.
- Inspects machine condition and safety before starting up.
- Ensure safety of people and machines.
- Reports defects of machines.
- Attend to any other task as allocated by superiors.
- Ensure all tasks are being performed correctly.
- Performs all tasks according to Kilombero Sugar’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environment policies and procedures.
- Form 1V Certificate accompanied with Grade one /Level Three in Fitter Mechanics from a recognized Institution.
- Extensive knowledge in Machinery running behavior, safety and lock out procedures, maintenance and repair on plant machinery.
- 2+ years’ experience working in mechanic jobs in Main Pump Station.
- Mentally and physically fit.
- Ready to work long hours.
